Assist recovery,
restore mobility

Robotic assistance that delivers measurable support during rehabilitation, improving day-to-day outcomes.

Wearable Robotics for Lower Body Assistance

The development of APO – Active Pelvis Orthosis originates from the European CyberLegs project. APO is a prototype device designed to deliver adaptive assistance at specific phases of the gait cycle, asymmetrically when required, enabling its use across a wide range of mobility impairments.

Our work builds on years of research in human–robot interaction and gait dynamics, with the aim of providing clinicians and researchers with advanced tools to study, support, and train movement in a controlled and safe manner.

Evidence from Multi-Year Clinical Research

APO has been tested in real-world conditions with diverse patient populations from three countries (US, Italy and Belgium) to explore both the assistive and the rehabilitative roles of the device.
